Lionel Kosior holds the position of Lead Expert in Thermal Treatment & Energy from Waste at Suez since April 2023. In parallel he has been serving as a regulation lobbyist in several national and European associations (SVDU, FNADE, FEAD, deputy president of CEWEP, member of the European Working Group for the BREF Incineration Review). Lionel served as French Navy Officer for 1 year, as deputy chief engineer (exploitation and maintenance onboard). He first joined the Suez group in 1989 as project manager in heating networks and boiler rooms and oversaw the planning of 2 coal fluidized bed installations. As from 1991 onwards he has held several positions at Novergie: EFW plants project manager, deputy responsible of project service, exploitation responsible (set up of exploitation & maintenance procedures, CMMS, audits …), quality safety & environmental responsible, optimization & performance responsible for the French EFW plants. Lionel has substantial technical experience in EFW plants design, energy calculations, maintenance & exploitation procedures, environment & safety procedures, KPI’s expertise, French & European regulation linked with EFW plants.
