Viridor Energy is a sector-leading resource recovery business. Through its fleet of Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities, the company processes over three million tonnes on non-recycled waste a year, which produces enough energy to power c. 500,000 British homes. Viridor is playing a leading role in waste sector decarbonisation especially in carbon capture and storage, where its Runcorn facility is the only operational EfW in the first wave of the government’s carbon capture programme. Viridor’s purpose is to build a world where nothing goes to waste.
