With over 35 years of experience in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East, James has advised on many greenfield and brownfield projects across numerous industry sectors. He advises project developers/sponsors, host governments, and funders (commercial banks, export credit agencies, and multilaterals). James has been involved in some of Asia’s most novel waste-to-energy projects, advising both governments and private sector participants on market-first projects in Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and Mainland China. James is a founding member of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) Project Finance Committee, Asia chair for the International Project Finance Association since 2009, and an adjunct professor of law at Singapore Management University. He has been based in Singapore since 2000.
