As Manager, Policy and Strategic Initiatives, Mac leads a team that provides comprehensive analytical, strategic, and operational guidance to the Knowledge Centre and its clients on CCS industry and policy developments. Mac connects the lessons learned in building, operating and optimizing CCS facilities to the challenges of navigating the regulatory and incentive frameworks, assisting governments and businesses looking to get CCS projects to final investment decisions. Mac is passionate about the economic opportunities that CCS projects represent for rural communities as we work to drastically reduce emissions across our economy. Prior to joining the Knowledge Centre, Mac worked with Prairies Economic Development Canada as a Senior Business Officer managing the Alberta Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative and administering community economic development projects. Mac also has experience as a management consultant and educator working primarily with First Nation and Métis organizations.
