Carly is the head of the industrial carbon capture business models team at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. The team is responsible for developing the business models to incentivise industrial and waste management facilities to invest in carbon capture to decarbonise. She has many years’ experience in renewable energy policy, including Contracts for Difference, and has worked at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and in the private sector. Before working in the energy sector, Carly’s background was in climate change science.
