Lukas supports the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) as Waste and Resource Specialist. Within DBT’s Waste to Value Team, Lukas assists international investors on waste projects in the UK. For British businesses he works together with colleagues around the world to find new export and market entry opportunities. In addition, he works closely with colleagues on the development and review of emerging waste, environment, climate, circular economy and energy policies, that will influence the industry for decades to come. Before joining DBT, Lukas worked for international consultancies on waste and circular economy projects, as well as a German Government agency in senior leadership roles. He is qualified with an MSc in Urban Environmental Management from Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands.
