James Samworth is a Partner at Schroders Greencoat, a £9bn renewable infrastructure investor acquired by Schroders in 2022. James joined Greencoat in January 2019 and, together with Minal Patel, manages the Energy Transition division, which now manages £1.3bn of assets. James also chairs the ESG committee at Greencoat. He has 14 years of investment experience, of which the last 13 years have been focused solely on renewables. Prior to joining Greencoat, James co-led the waste and bioenergy investment team at Foresight Group. Prior to Foresight, James worked for 10 years in the steel industry for Corus, in a variety of Operational and Commercial roles, and gained banking and private equity experience with Deutsche Bank and Lyceum Capital. James has an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School.
