Andy Lane joined BP in 1986 and has worked in a variety of technical and commercial roles in the Exploration and Production, Gas and Power and the Trading parts of the company in the UK North Sea, Alaska and Australia. Since returning to the UK Andy has been responsible for business development across all bp’s Upstream gas businesses.
Andy currently leads BP’s activity in Carbon Capture Use and Storage and was appointed as Managing Director of Net Zero Teesside CCUS project in early 2020.

Susie has a background in engineering, which she applies to her work in energy policy with emphasis on innovation and whole systems decarbonisation of the energy sector. She has advised on wide-ranging policy areas, including electricity market reform, integrated policies for low carbon domestic heating and transport, and the development of a low carbon hydrogen industry within the UK. She brought her whole systems knowledge to work with BEIS on EfW with CCS last year, placing this exciting new prospect in the wider context of economy wide decarbonisation and assessing the potential policy considerations.
