George has been with Leeds City Council since 2006, now as a Senior Project Manager. The role involves leading the development and delivery of major projects, managing the domestic energy team and overseeing action on fuel poverty.
Currently George is contract managing a £45m investment in district heating, delivered by Vital Energi. This supplies heat from the PFi Energy from Waste Plant to city centre businesses and development sites and 2,000 council flats in some of the most deprived areas of the city. He is also leading a further £25m of innovative domestic energy projects, primarily multi-tenure deep retrofits in deprived Victorian neighbourhoods.

Ian joined the ADE as Director January 2020, having previously been Head of Biomass UK at RWE Supply and Trading and formerly a Director at RWE Innogy UK. His last job was as Commercial Director for a waste wood fired combined heat and power plant, which involved executing a new build heat network.
