Edmund Fleck was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1952. He has a Diploma in Physics from the RWTH Aachen in Germany and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA. From 1986 he carried out research on electrostatic precipitators for BBC Corporate Research in Dattwil, Switzerland.
He has worked in the field of Waste-to-Energy since 1990, first for the ABB/ALSTOM Group in different roles (Technical Director, Sales Director) and locations (Zurich, Winterthur, Butzbach, Paris).
In August 2002 he joined Martin GmbH in Munich. He is Managing Director of Martin GmbH fur Umwelt-und Energietechnik. He is also Managing Director of Kuttner Martin Technology GmbH in Munich.
Edmund Fleck was President of ESWET, the European Suppliers of Waste to Energy Technology from 2003 to 2019, and is a member of the ISWA Working Group on Energy Recovery.
