Myles Kitcher is Executive Director of Peel NRE, part of Peel L&P, and a new area of the business which combines the well-established Peel Environmental, Peel Energy and Peel Water teams.
With over 20 years’ experience in the energy and waste industries, Myles has a career spanning local government, public sector and private enterprise. Myles will lead Peel NRE to help the country drive forward a green post-pandemic recovery with a stronger focus on Peel L&P’s natural resources and energy development activity.
Specialisms under his executive leadership include waste to value, district heating, renewable energy (onshore wind and solar), materials management including soil washing and recycled aggregates, asset management including quarries, water and electric vehicle charging.
Myles is also behind Protos – Peel L&P’s flagship destination for energy, innovation and industry near Ellesmere Port, north west England and the soon-to-be-home of the UK’s first plastic to hydrogen facility.
Myles is working with sector leaders to explore how indigenous energy sources can underpin industrial activity in the North and how to set an innovative blueprint for the rest of the UK.
His work plays a key role in helping the country to achieve clean growth targets as well as supporting regional climate emergency goals.
