Siegfried Scholz received his Diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) in Industrial Engineering, from Karlsruhe University (KIT), Germany in 1988, and completed his Thesis (Ph. D.) in Power Plant Engineering, at Essen University (UDE), in 1994.

Between 1988 and 2011 Siegfried worked for a range of technical and engineering companies including Deutsche Babcock AG, Omnical GmbH, Oschatz GmbH, John Zink International S.à r.L. in Luxembourg and Germany. During that time he had engineering, sales management and Project Director and Operations Director roles.

In 2012 Siegfried joined Standardkessel Baumgarte as Managing Director and in January 2024 he moved to Kanadevia Inova as Country President, Germany.

Siegfried has represented ESWET as President since January 2020.
