Maria Chiara is a Vice President in MUFG’s Infrastructure Finance team in London, specialising in the financing of Energy from Waste, waste adjacent and essential infrastructure assets.

She has led and supported numerous landmark UK transactions across greenfield development, brownfield refinancing and platform level acquisition financing. She has deep experience advising sponsors and lenders on greenfield and brownfield assets, including most recently supporting Protos CCS, the first industrial scale carbon capture deployment for an EfW facility in the UK — a landmark step in the decarbonisation of the waste sector.

With almost eight years of experience in project finance, advisory and infrastructure investment across MUFG, Maire Tecnimont and PwC, Maria Chiara brings strong technical and commercial expertise to the UK waste sector.
