Experienced public sector leader and Chartered Waste Manager with over 20 years’ expertise in waste management, recycling, and environmental services. As Head of Waste at West Sussex County Council, I provide strategic vision, manage high-value contracts, and lead service improvements that deliver sustainable outcomes for communities across the county.

In January 2026, I was honoured to be appointed Chair of LARAC (Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee), representing 80% of UK local authorities and supporting over 1,400 waste and recycling officers. My appointment comes as government reforms move from idea to implementation. Local authorities are navigating the roll-out of Simpler Recycling, evolving Extended Producer Responsibility payments, and awaiting clarity on Deposit Return Schemes and long-term funding. My focus as Chair is to amplify the collective voice of our membership and champion practical solutions for the sector.

I am also a board member of RECOUP Recycling and an advocate for innovation and collaboration in the circular economy. My career has spanned senior management roles overseeing multi-million-pound contracts, infrastructure projects, and operational teams. I am passionate about driving change, supporting professional development, and delivering high-quality public services.
