Indaver

Seamus Flynn is part of Indaver’s senior leadership team, managing the municipal solid waste business in Ireland and the UK. He is Regional Manager for both countries, representing Indaver in all aspects of its business interests in these markets.

Seamus joined Indaver in 2017 after spending 15 years in the petroleum business in Ireland & Norway. Prior to that he held senior roles within the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical & engineering sectors for over 30 years.

After growing up on a farm, he studied engineering, manufacturing, business and more recently, psychology. Outside of work, he coaches athletics and is a board member, and Chair of Coaching and Development, for Athletics Ireland.

With a career spanning nearly 40 years, Seamus has a successful track record in transformational management, continuous improvement and expansion within highly regulated industries. He has a keen sense of commercial awareness and a results-driven approach, driving organisational evolution.

Seamus is aiming for a steady growth trajectory for the region. Recent developments in Essex set a marker for further development, particularly in the UK. The 600kt waste from energy plant brings the latest in technology and efficiency. Plans for Carbon capture, district heating and direct wire to adjacent Industrial greenhouses will reinforce the potential for circularity in Energy from waste. The expansion of a Solvent distillation and blending facility near Manchester, builds upon a similar model in Ireland, where Indaver is a key service provider to the Pharma, med-tech and chemical industry
