Patrick Clerens is the Secretary General of ESWET – the European Suppliers of Waste-to-Energy Technology, a position he has held since February 2008. In parallel, he has been actively involved in the energy and climate policy field since 2003, serving as Brussels Representative for several European associations. He studied law at the University of Saarbrücken and the University of Mainz and has worked in Brussels since 1996 as a consultant for a private company specialising in European Affairs.
