Before becoming CEO of Encyclis in 2025, Mark was Chairman of Encyclis from 2023, and prior to that worked on the EQT acquisition team, becoming a non-executive Director in 2022. Mark has held senior positions with a range of companies in the waste and resources sector, including Shanks/FCC, Viridor, which he ran during their significant EfW growth between 2010 and 2015, and Greenstar, which was Ireland’s largest waste management company before sale. He has also served as Chief Executive of the UK’s largest electrical recycling company, and Chief Executive of the UK’s largest textile reuse and recycling business. Mark holds a Degree in Earth Sciences and a Masters Degree in Geomaterial Engineering from the University of London. Mark also holds professional qualifications in International Management, Quarrying, Health and Safety, and Waste and Resource Management.
